In cooperation with the Canadian Quantum Research Center, Damghan University will be holding “the Second International Conference on Holography and Its Applications” on 25th-26th of January, 2023. Renowned researchers and scientists from Princeton University, University of Naples, University of Waterloo, Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, McGill University, National Observatory of Athens, Zhejiang University, Nuclear Sciences Institute, National Scientific and Technological Research Council, Northwest University, Istanbul Technical University, Middle East Technical University, Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences, Zanjan Graduate University of Basic Sciences, Shahid Beheshti University, Shahrood University of Technology, University of Mazandaran, and Damghan University will be the members of the scientific committee of the conference.
The conference, held both in person and online, is supported by Islamic World Science Reference Center (ISC), Federation of Iranian Scientific Leaders, Physics Society of Iran, Optics and Photonics Society of Iran, and many other prestigious universities in Iran and around the world. Honorably, six world-renowned scientists will attend the conference as keynote speakers as the following:
Leonard Susskind: Stanford University, founding director of the Stanford Institute for Theoretical Physics, a member of the National Academy of Sciences
Mohammad Mehdi Sheikh-Jabbari: Institute for Research In Fundamental Sciences, one of Iranian Ever-Lasting Figures in Physics, a member of the Federation of Iranian Scientific Leaders
Neil Turok: University of Edinburgh, holding the Niels Bohr Chair in Theoretical Physics from the Perimeter Institute of Theoretical Physics.
Prof. Robert Mann from University of Waterloo, which has several important works on the black hole thermodynamics. He has several PRL papers as references of recent studies.
Prof. Elias B. Kiritsis from Universite Paris Cite, CNRS, Astroparticule et Cosmologie, Paris, France, and University of Crete, Greece which is one of the best theoretical physicists and author of fome PRL papers on holography.
Prof. Eva Silverstein from Stanford Institute for Theoretical Physics, Stanford, USA as one of the best scientists in the field of string theory and cosmology which has important studies on gauge-gravity duality.
A total of 38 presentations in the form of posters and speeches have been accepted, 10 of which will be by Iranian researchers and 28 by non-Iranian researchers. The schedule for the speeches is accessible via https://holography2023.du.ac.ir/en/page.php?rid=59.
